EvF050 - User not authorized for folder list

Error message

User &1 (surrogate &2) is not authorized for the folder list &3.

Parameters

&1 - Login name of the user
&2 - Surrogate (unique identifier) for the user
&3 - The ID of the folder list, which the user is not authorized for

Description

This error occurs if the user has been assigned a specific folder list and is not authorized for the folder list.

This can be caused by 2 things:

  1. The folder list assigned for the user requires a higher authorization level than assigned for the user.
  2. The user has logged on from an external location (Extranet/Internet). In this situation the user will be assigned the authority as specified by the Maximum Extranet Authority Level. If the folder list assigned for the user requires a higher authorization level than the Maximum Extranet Authority Level, then this error will occur.

Note that this error does not mean that the user has been denied access to the application, but only that another folder list than the one specified for the user is used.

Action

Use the menu item "Maintain Users" to change the authorization level of the user so that he can use the folder list or change the folder list defined for the user.

Comments

By changing the folder list for the user to the blank value you can ensure that a folder list, that has an authorization level equal or below the level of the user will be used.
The folder list with the highest authorization level, that is either equal to or lower than the authorization level of the user will be used.
