The update element function gives you the option to update certain information for the site element.
The information you can update is dependent on the type of the parent element in the site structure tree.
The name of the site element being updated. This is the name shown in the site structure.
Comments for the site element.

A drop down, where you specify which frame in the frameset the site element will be used to populate.

The text shown for the menu item .

The position of the menu item in the menu.-

Comments for the site element.
Placed in the Advanced section. By checking this check box (default), the last selected menu item is saved on the current session. This means that if the user refreshes the browser, the site will be loaded so that the last selected menu item is selected again (and the rest of the site will be loaded accordingly).
When the element that is being updated has the type URL, you can also change the URL specified for the site element.
Please note that you have to enter all of the url - including "http://".
Saves the changed information and returns to the site structure.
Press this button if you want to change the presentation of the current site element.
Loads a drop down box, where you can choose an alias to assign to the site element.
Pressing the Roles button loads a pop up window where you can define which roles the site element should have assigned.
