It is possible to define several sets of templates for a content loader. Each set of templates must be created as a presentation, which defines the look and to some extent the functionality of the content loader.
This gives you a significantly improved chance of reusing functionality in content loaders.
Presentations and how to use them are described in detail here.
The following fields can be updated for a presentation:
Name identifying the presentation for the content loader.
All templates used by the presentation must have the template suffix appended to the template file name. E.g. if the template file name is WSGRID.HTM and the template suffix is _MyPres, then the template used by the presentation is named WSGRID_MyPres.HTM.
This should only be used if the content loader uses only one template. The content loader will then use the template override name when it searches for a template in the folder list. E.g. if the template override name is MyOwnName, then the presentation will look for the file MyOwnName.HTM.
Can be used for further information concerning the presentation.
The page shows the existing presentations for a specific content loader.
The data for the chosen content loader is shown at the top of the page.
The grid contains all existing presentations for the content loader. The grid is ordered by the name. The grid is positioned by entering a value in the field "Start with" and pressing "Find".
Entering a value in the "Search for" field and pressing "Find" limits the grid to records containing the entered string in either program name or the name of the presentation.
You will be returned to the Grid Page showing content loaders when you press "Cancel" on this page.
Using this functionality you can update the data for the presentation.
Please note that if you change either suffix or template override name for an existing presentation (which is being used by the site) it is important to be sure that the new templates already exist - or the users might experience errors.
When you press "Delete" on the Grid Page, a confirmation page will be shown, where you can either confirm or cancel the deletion.
You will not be allowed to delete the presentation if it is referenced by any site elements.
Pressing the "Properties" button on either update page or in the grid showing the presentations launches a modal pop up window. This windows loads a grid showing all the properties currently assigned to the presentation together with the values assigned to the properties. On this panel you can insert new properties for the presentation or update/delete existing properties.
Makes it possible for you to create a new presentation for the current content loader.
