Online documentation - WebsydianExpress v3.0 |
The use of business processes are described here.
As the business processes are a vital part of the way the site will be structured, all business processes used in the application will have to be part of the Site Structure tree.
The grid shows all business processes currently defined for the site. Each record will contain information about the name the business process and the name of the presentation used for business process.
This will start a wizard that is used to update the information about the business process and/or the presentation used by the business process. You can read more about wizards here.
On the first page you can update the basic information about the business process (name and comment).
If this is all you want to change, press "Finish" after entering the changed values.
If you also want to change the presentation used by the business process site element, press "Next".
On the next page you can change the presentation used by the business process. If you just press "Next" you will keep the currently selected presentation and go to the next page.
In order to change the presentation press the button "Change presentation". You will then be able to search for presentations by entering your search criteria in the "Search for" field and press the "Find" button.
To select a new presentation press the "Select" button for the presentation you want to use for the business process . This will also take you to the next page.
The last page is a confirmation page. Press "Finish" to apply your changes or "Cancel" to discard the changes.
You can also press "Back" to go back and change the selected/entered values.
You are not allowed to delete a business process if it is part of the site structure.
On the view page, you will be shown information about the business process - and information about the presentation and the content loader used when executing the business process.
When using comments during the construction of a site it is later necessary to change the comment to something else.
Instead of having to delete the comment and then create a menu or a frameset, which must then be inserted in the structure in the same place as the comment was placed, you can instead change the comment to a menu or a frameset.
If you want to change the comment to another business process, then simply use the Update functionality to update the presentation for the comment.
The Roles button loads the roles maintenance for the business process site element as a pop up window.
