Maintain Framesets

Overview

Framesets are used to define the structure of the site.

The use of framesets is described here.

When updating or creating a frameset it is sometimes necessary to update the template for the frameset as well.

Grid Page

The grid shows all framesets currently defined for the site. Each record will contain the following:

Update

This will start a wizard that is used to update the information about the frameset and/or the presentation used by the frameset. You can read more about wizards here.

Start page

On the first page you can update the basic information about the frameset (name and comment).

If this is all you want to change, press "Finish" after entering the changed values.

If you also want to change the presentation used by the frameset site element, press "Next".

Select presentation

On the next page you can change the presentation used by the frameset. If you just press "Next" you will keep the currently selected presentation and go to the next page.

In order to change the presentation press the button "Change presentation". You will then be able to search for presentations by entering your search criteria in the "Search for" field and press the "Find" button.

To select a new presentation press the "Select" button for the presentation you want to use for the frameset. This will also take you to the next page.

Confirmation

The last page is a confirmation page. Press "Finish" to apply your changes or Cancel to discard the changes.

You can also press Back to go back and change the selected/entered values.

Delete

You are not allowed to delete a frameset if it is part of the site structure.

View

On the view page you will be shown information about the frameset - and information about the content loader the frameset uses.

Roles

The Roles button loads the roles maintenance for the frameset site element as a pop up window.

Fields

Name

The name of the frameset.

Presentation

The name of the presentation used for this frameset.

Has structure

Specifies if any frames are defined for the frameset (the frameset element has children in the site structure tree).
