Question I receive a CGI error or an incomplete page
Answer

If you receive a CGI error or experience other problems when you try to run your Websydian application on a Windows-based Web Server, this might be caused by the following reasons.

  • One or more DLL's are missing.
Consult the CA Plex manual to make sure all runtime DLL's supplied by CA Plex are available to the Websydian Application. Also make sure all Websydian Application DLL's are available.
Try running the dispatcher function directly from the command line. For further information see the White Paper on how to setup IIS for Websydian Applications.

  • Incorrect path to CA Plex DLL's on the system.
Make sure that the system path of the workstation refers to the bin directory of CA Plex.

  • Incorrect user profile supplied as anonymous user on virtual directory (IIS Only)
For further information read the whitepaper deploying on IIS

  • An application error has occurred in the Websydian Application.
The IIS suppresses display of dialog messages as it is running as a service, which can result in an application hanging and waiting for ok to be pressed. - but no dialog showing.

These are some of the errors reported
